So, after 2 weeks the Gold account is up 15% and has 24 winning trades to 1 loser.  For the Gold Managed Account the goal is a 20% per month return, but early on it might be higher or lower while TM makes adjustments.  But, TM believes a 20% per month target will keep the draw-down to generally acceptable levels.  And, since the Ascend FX Gold Performance Account has only $2,000 in it, fine-tuning is a little less precise.

Up till now we have always utilized an ECN forex broker because we’ve been skeptical of brokerages that were not matching buyers and sellers, but rather acting as the counter-party to the trader.  Fortunately, in the past four months or so, several well respected ECN brokers have customized the Metatrader platform to work with their backend trade servers.  With this development Ascend FX is now able to take advantage of the technical sophistication computer software can bring to trading.

We do still have one hurdle to overcome… not all ECN’s offering Metatrader have the additional functionality required to manage client accounts.  There are a couple of candidate brokerages we are evaluating and we will select the one we believe offers the best and most reliable services to both our clients and trade managers.
